Electrical issue Ford E150 Van. Paid about $100 for diagnostic, they said I needed a new battery. Said they checked everything. Quoted me about $500 to replace my battery. Did it at Walmart for $150. Electrical problem was same with the new battery. They did offer me to come back but they were very busy, when my van wouldn't start they couldn't get me in. In desperation, I took a recommendation from a guy at an auto parts store and found another mechanic close by who would see me right away. The mechanic found a blown fuse and a bad ground. Fixed the problem. Lost $100, 2 weeks groceries, hurts. I felt I was a hassle and a burden on J&S, had to beg for help, etc. Well, life goes on. They have a lot of customers and will do well without me. Positive side: I found a good mechanic in Boulder who will work on my van for a reasonable price and get it done right.

I drive a ram pro master (Van Lifer). When I need maintenance help, I need a tall enough shop and great customer service and honest feedback and trust J&S for both. If you own a van (or any old car), that is where the honest feedback comes in because something is always broken. J&S will shoot you straight so you can decide what needs to be fixed and what you want to wait on!

I can’t say enough about J&S. The morning my daughter and I were supposed to travel back home to California with her car, her check engine light came on. I started to panic when I began calling multiple repair shops only to find out they were all booked for the day. Luckily, J&S was able to get us in and diagnose and repair the problem. We were on the road by early evening. Great service and very kind and friendly employees too! Thanks for saving the day!

Omg I can’t express enough how supported I felt by J and S and grateful I am for their work! Under a stressful situation with my transmission I got my car towed to them. And first thing in the morning when I called Dawna not only just took down all my info, but gave me reassurance and relayed everything to mechanics. They kept me updated through texts and calls as soon as they had updates. I felt they informed me of every detail along the way and were not only transparent but I also felt held. I will definitely be recommending them and be coming here in the future for any further car needs. Again I’m so grateful for an authentic, supportive, and transparent car shop! I truly felt the went above and beyond in getting the work done, helping me feel informed and up to date honestly.

I’ve been bringing my vehicles to J&S Automotive in Boulder for over 15 years. They really know how to do maintenance, repairs and tires! I like how they give me a heads up when there is something major coming up so that I can prepare and properly plan my schedule. Their front desk staff is very friendly and pick up/drop off service is very handy since I work nearby. It’s hard to find honest and friendly auto service now days so I’m going to stay with J&S for at least another 15 years!
